Temitope Ogunwale, professionally known as Temi OG, is a self-taught visual artist
based in Lagos, Nigeria, originally from Osun State. Her creative journey began in high
school, where drawing came naturally, but she started pursuing art professionally in
January 2021. What began with commissioned pencil portraits for family and friends
evolved into deeply expressive personal works exploring themes of mental health,
human emotion.
It started with charcoal pencil and transitioned to acrylic, using mainly monochrome colours. Blue was the first choice of monochrome because it signifies immortality, peace and safety. now it has evolved to green, which signifies growth, renewal, peace and healing.

Cowrie cap is one frequent element in her work. It emits power, wealth and identity.
